Directed Technologies Drilling will be exhibiting and participating in several technical sessions at the Eleventh International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds. The event will be held April 8-12, 2018, at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California.

Stop by and visit with DTD representatives about applications for horizontal remediation wells at our booth and poster sessions. At booth numbers 111 and 113 [check the booth map here] you can learn about the latest advances in horizontal directional drilling for remediation applications and discuss potential projects with the DTD staff who actually design and manage projects. You can view a technical program for the conference here.

Brian Younkin, Ph.D, project engineer, will present a poster in the Horizontal Wells division on Monday, entitled: Application of Screen Design for Horizontal Injection Wells. Brian will be available at the poster to discuss his research on Monday, April 9 from 4:30-6:30 PM.

Mike Lubrecht, LG, senior geologist, will be presenting two posters, in the Horizontal Wells and Landfill Redevelopment and Management divisions. The first posted is titled, “Horizontal Biosparging: Case Study of Southern California Pilot Study.” He will present that poster during the 4:30-6:30 time slot on Monday, April 9.

Mike’s second poster topic is “Dewatering a CCP Landfill with a Horizontal Well”, to be presented on Wednesday, April 11 from 4:30-6:30.

In addition to the posters, DTD is also presenting a demonstration and comparison of bentonite and biodegradeable polymer drilling fluids in the new Learning Lab format, just introduced for the Battelle conference. DTD will be demonstrating “Real-Time Drilling Fluid Comparison: Bentonite versus Biopolymer” on Tuesday, April 10 from 8:50-9:15 a.m.

Many of DTD’s senior staff will be attending the conference. Please be sure to stop by our double booth at #111-113!
